Floating Brain Games is a small collection of browser games made by one person. This page explains what the site knows about you, which is very little.

Playing the games

You can play everything without an account and without giving any information. The games keep a few things in your own browser, such as your sound settings, your chosen costume, and a scoreboard of your runs on that device. That data stays on your device. It is never sent anywhere and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

The shared leaderboard

If you choose to post a score to the shared leaderboard, you sign in with Google. From that sign in the site keeps only your first name, so it can show next to your score, and an anonymous identifier derived from your account, so it can keep one entry per person and update it when you beat your own best. The site does not keep your email address, your Google ID, or anything else from your account, and it cannot post or read anything on your behalf.

Your first name and score are shown publicly on the leaderboard to anyone who plays.

Removal

If you want your name and score removed from the leaderboard, send a message to @floatingbraingames on Instagram and it will be deleted.

Getting in touch

Questions, bugs, or ideas for the next one: the best place is the same Instagram page. Messages are read by a person.

What the site does not do

No advertising, no tracking across other websites, no analytics scripts, no selling or sharing of anything. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, which keeps ordinary server logs of requests, as any host does.
